YEAR 7-8 (KWIK STICKS)

JUNIOR GRADE FORMAT

Fun Sticks (Year 1-2)

The Fun Sticks competition aims to introduce kids to hockey with an emphasis on having fun while developing fundamental skills. Teams have 6-10 players, with games played on 1/8-size hockey turfs.

Mini Sticks (Year 3-4)

Mini Sticks games are played between teams of 6-10 players on 1/4-size hockey turfs.

Kiwi Sticks (Year 5-6)

Kiwi Sticks games are played between teams of 7-10 players on 1/2-size hockey turfs with a standard goal.

Kwik Sticks (Year 7-8)

The Kwik Sticks competition is split into Development and Premier/Experienced grades. Development grade games are 6-a-side, and played on 1/2-size hockey turfs, while Premier/Experienced-level games are 11-a-side and played on full-size hockey turfs.
